Why do MA hospitals make millions on tax breaks while our families get hit with more medical debt?

It’s medical injustice.  And it needs to change.

Non-profit hospitals in Massachusetts make billions in tax breaks that are supposed to go charitable care.

Instead, hospital charity care lags far behind other states while medical debt is crushing our most vulnerable families.

We’re doing something about it.

Fairer Healthcare Together is organizing Bay Staters across Massachusetts to fight back against medical injustice.

Take our survey below.  Tell your story.  Post a video here.  Or just lend your name to our movement.

We’re letting our political leaders know that it’s time to turn the tables on medical debt and make hospitals pay their fair share.

Have you experienced trouble paying for hospital bills in general?
Are you or do you know of someone struggling with medical debt?
Are you or do you know someone experiencing collections action on medical debt?
Did you or the person you know receive any charitable help from the hospital?
Did you or the person you know have trouble or resistance in applying for charitable care?
Do you feel it is fair for MA hospitals to gain hundreds of millions of dollars in tax breaks while not having to provide information on whether those profits go to help people in need?
Do you feel MA hospitals should be doing more to provide charitable care and community support?

This survey is anonymous and only used for internal purposes. Your information will not be saved.

We’re asking MA families to complete this survey before Oct. 1 to ensure we can inform elected officials of your concerns.
